Theater and music were important factors in the daily life and education of our ancestors. Basic elements of an ancient Greek city were, always, the theaters and the conservatories. Being in the seats of such a place, as current spectators, maybe we can get the important feeling of watching a drama or a musical competition in antiquity.
We leave the Roman conservatory and, overlooking the site of the western excavations, we pass through the narrow streets of the old town. Stop at Eleftherias Square to admire the Italian buildings and the " Deftedar mosque ", built during the period of the Ottoman occupation.
We continue to Nafklirou Street where, until today, is found the building of the Jewish synagogue and, overlooking the site of the ancient agora , we end up in the square where the plane tree of Hippocrates is located.
