The Roman mansion is located on one of the most central streets of the city. In its 36 rooms it housed, in antiquity, elaborate mosaics. Inside the buiding today, after relevant interventions carried out in recent years, there is an exhibition on the daily life in Roman times.
After our visit to the Roman mansion, we continue to the site of the western excavations where we find ruins of the ancient gymnasium of Kos, remains of early Christian basilicas and the house of the "Rapture of Europe", name given to it by a mosaic discovered in one of its rooms.
Passing through the narrow streets of the old city, with all kinds of small shops, we reach Eleftherias Square, the center of today's city.
